Dear Families,

Our Grade 5/6 Celebration of Learning is scheduled for Thursday, February 26 at 6:00pm. The schedule is as follows:

5:45pm Doors Open - Families are asked to go to the gym, students go to their classroom

6:00om Performance in the gym

6:45pm Families/Students visit the Learning Commons to see student work and displays

 

After School Pottery Club: We have the opportunity to offer a free pottery club after school for students in grades 2-6. The club will be run by a local artist and parent, with the support of Ms. Morgan, Ms. Nagy and Ms. Clarke. The club will begin on Tuesday, March 3 and will run for 7 weeks from 2:45pm-4:00pm.  Due to the available resources, we can only accommodate 15 students at this time.  If you are interested in this opportunity for your child, please email stanleyjones@cbe.ab.ca before Tuesday, February 24, indicating your child's first and last name, and classroom teacher.  Please ensure your child can commit to the full 7 weeks and you are able to pick up your child from the school at 4:00pm. If more than 15 students are interested, we will do a random selection of names. We are looking to offer this club again next year to ensure more students have the opportunity to experience art and pottery.

 

At Stanley Jones and Alice Jamieson Girls' Academy we work closely with our School Council to provide many opportunities for students. Our School Council plays an important advisory role and provides parent and community perspective in school decision making.
