Dear Families,

 

Thank you to all of the volunteers who supported various field trips this month.  As we look ahead to May we have many more field trips and learning opportunities coming up for students. Please let your child's teacher know if you are able to volunteer.  These opportunities would not be possible without your support.

 

Lunchtime and Off-Campus Reminders for Grade 7-9 Students

  • Grade 7-9 students are allowed to leave school property during lunch. Students are reminded to act responsibly and appropriately when choosing to go off campus.
  • Students are expected to arrive back on time, at 11:40 AM. Some students continue to return to school late.
  • Students need to be respectful when visiting local stores and restaurants.
  • Students must ensure they are not trespassing on people's property while off campus.

 

School Council Information

  • Please check your child’s backpack today for an Unplugged Initiative postcard! This parent-led initiative encourages SJ and AJA families to delay smartphone and social media use, and to support our kids in building healthy and balanced relationships with technology. 
  • Join us for a School Council hosted Family Movie Night on Friday, May 8 in the school gym! The gym doors open at 6:30 pm, and the movie begins at 7:00 pm. We will be showing Paddington 2 - a fun, family-friendly film suitable for all ages. Admission is by donation. Snacks and treats will be available for purchase.
