Dear Families,
If you are entering the school during the day, we ask that parents/guardians come directly to the office. If your child is late for school or you need to drop something off to your child, please come to the office. We request that you do not go to your child’s classroom, as it can interrupt teaching and learning.
Fun Lunch: School Council has organized fun lunches through Healthy Hunger again this year. The first fun lunch is September 17th and today is the last day to place you order. Please go to www.healthyhunger.ca to sign up and place your order.
Mark your calendars for our Meet the Teacher/Welcome Back Food Truck event on Thursday September 25th, 3:30pm-6:30pm. Food trucks will be available on our back field, beginning at 3:30pm. All families are invited to participate in the Food Truck event and/or bring their own picnic as they visit with other families and teachers.
The schedule is as follows:
- 3:30 – Event begins
- 4:00-4:30 – K-2 families visit their child’s classroom - Enter the school through Door C by the back compound
- 4:45-5:15 – SJ Gr. 3-6 families visit their child’s classroom - Enter the school through Door C by the back compound
- 5:30-6:00 – AJA families visit their child’s classroom - Enter the school through Door C by the back compound
- 6:30 – Event Ends
Please note, this is not a booked one on one conference with teachers, but is an opportunity for your child to introduce you to their teachers. This will be a drop in format where you will be able to visit your child’s classrooms, view some of their work and documentation boards, and say hello to the teachers. We invite all students and families to join us at the food trucks, before and after their scheduled time to meet their teachers and visit classrooms. Ms. Sarah will be available in the office from 3:30pm-5:30pm to assist parents/guardians with completing their volunteer clearance.

September 24 – SJ 5/6A and SJ 5/6B Mud Between Our Toes field trip at Ralph Klein Park
September 25 – SJ 5/6C Mud Between Our Toes field trip at Ralph Klein Park, Meet the Teacher – 3:30pm-6:30pm
September 26 – Terry Fox Run
September 29 – Professional Learning Day – No School for Students
September 30 – National Day for Truth and Reconciliation – No School
October 9 – Picture Day
