Dear Families,

We hope students had a relaxing summer and are looking forward to the 2025-2026 school year.  Teachers are back at school planning for the first few days with students; and the office staff is busy processing new registrations and balancing class numbers to ensure a smooth start up for everyone.  You can expect to receive an email from your child’s teacher Thursday afternoon with some key information about the first few days of school.  As a reminder, our entry bell rings at 7:45am, school begins at 8:00am, school dismisses at 2:40pm, and Friday dismissal is 12:15pm.   Please note, lunch begins at 11:00am and ends at 11:40am.

You will receive weekly communication from your child’s teacher, as well as a general message from the school with important information.  Please make note of the upcoming dates:

 

September 2 – First Day of School

September 15-18 – AJA grades 7-9 Camp Chief Hector Overnight Trip

September 16 – AJA grades 4-6 Camp Chief Hector Day Trip

September 17 – AJA grades 7-9 (not attending the overnight trip) Camp Chief Hector Day Trip

September 23 – School Council - 6:30pm

September 25 – Welcome Back Food Truck Event and Meet the Teacher – 3:30pm-6:30pm

September 29 – Professional Learning Day – No School for Students

September 30 – National Day for Truth and Reconciliation – No School
