Dear Families,
As Halloween falls on the weekend this year, we invite students to show their school spirit in simple, fun ways instead of wearing costumes. Some ideas include wearing your favorite color or pajamas, dressing as a twin with a friend, or participating in a backwards day. If your child chooses to wear a costume, it must be school appropriate:
- No masks or facial coverings
- No weapons or violent or frightening costumes
- No inflatable or cumbersome costumes that may interfere with learning
- Costumes must be respectful, appropriate, and not offensive
Please do not send treats or snacks to share with classmates, as we are unable to share food due to allergies, dietary restrictions, and other health considerations.
As we prepare for our upcoming Remembrance Day assembly on November 10, we invite students who participate in Cadets, Scouts and other similar organizations to wear their uniforms to school that day, if possible. Wearing their uniforms is a meaningful way for students to show respect and honour the service and sacrifices of those who have served our country. Please contact Ms. Beard at cebeard@cbe.ab.ca if you have any questions.

- We have an exciting opportunity to secure a grant for the Stanley Jones and Alice Jamieson Learning Grounds Project, and we’d love your support! The Edible Lab is a proposed outdoor learning space at Stanley Jones School, featuring edible berry shrubs, garden beds, and a community harvest table for hands-on food literacy and outdoor learning. Please vote for our project in the Field Law Community Fund! When you open the voting page, search for Stanley Jones or Alice Jamieson to find our project. You can vote once per device, so please share the link with family and friends, too! Thank you for supporting our school communities! Vote for The Edible Lab here
